Read this review before leaving a one star rating. This book does Non and I echo Non support witchcraft. Elementary as that. This book is FICTION that means Information technology IS Not Existent! This requires imagination otherwise information technology is just some other story. Yous have probably heard of this story as a bad influence but it is Non! Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is but another story, that is all, merely the writer has extraordinary talent that she placed into this book to change the lives of young people these days.
Kids need to use their imagination and J K Rowling pushes the imagination to the limit (in a skillful way) in this book. Read "Who Is JK Rowling" for more than details most her and her life, and you volition find that Rowling did NOT support witchcraft to ANY degree. I personally.

I had heard the proper name Harry Potter for a few years. For some reason or another I made no endeavour to find out what the fuss was all about. Fast Forrard 10 years subsequently and I take a set of 10 year old triplets. Harry, Voldemort, Hagrid and the Weasleys were mutual names I heard. One night the triplets and their Dad were at my house and nosotros needed a movie to scout. The name Harry Potter came upward. I finally said I'm game and the residue is history. Less than a week ago I fell into Book one: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. There were times I had to make myself put the ebook down. This is i of the all-time books I have ever read. Now, if you will excuse me, I must return to Platform 9 and three quarters for my return to Hogwarts.

I am reading this serial because I promised my granddaughter I would read information technology while she was reading it. I thought it would be a chore. Nonetheless, instead, I have enjoyed every page. Now I sympathize how my granddaughter plowed through the entire series in 2 weeks! Oh the exuberance of youth.

This may exist my second or third re-read of this start book in the 7 book Harry Potter series. Nonetheless a good read after all these years. This book was outset published in 1997 and then its 23 years sometime.
The novel is well written with sympathetic characters, villainous antagonists (House of Slytherin), and a good plot (which is consistent both for the volume likewise as being spread beyond vii books – no one in the story line knows about horcruxes yet).
The story and Harry, Ron, and Hermione's skills are still primitive since their "outset years" at Hogwarts. Lots of room for growth and mastery. However the showtime appearance of Voldamort was constructive, his confront on the dorsum of Quirrell'south head. I wonder if Voldamort ever felt near Quirrell'south turban the way we sometimes feel about face masks ("I can't breathe" except that doctor'due south and nurses where more restrictive face masks every day and seem to exercise merely fine).
I'1000 looking forward to the side by side volume.

I absolutely Honey the Harry Potter serial, and information technology is definitely i of my favorite series that I have e'er read. When I first started reading them I wasn't actually sure that I would like them as I had unfortunately thought it was 'nerdy' when I was in school, and information technology was definitely a huge mistake! Information technology is even so a very proficient read equally an adult, but I actually wish that I had started reading them when they came out. I wanted my kids to be able to feel the magic of Harry Potter while they are young plenty to believe in that kind of magic so we have started reading them together, so watching the movie that coincides with the volume. They honey the serial as well though I don't call back they similar it as much every bit me since my girl 'teases' me about it. 🙂
This book is captivating from the very first judgement. J.G. Rowling is a very gifted author and is descriptive enough to be able to send y'all to her world without beingness so wordy that yous observe yourself losing interest. If you have non read this volume yet then read it! You lot will not be disappointed.
